ESC news 2024

It was a pleasure to reconnect with the ESC community at the Spring Summit. This special gathering provided a wonderful opportunity for networking and collaboration among members of the National Cardiac Societies, ESC Board Members, and ESC volunteers and staff. As always, the welcoming ambience of this annual event truly showcased the spirit of the ESC family! We would like to thank everyone who participated, and for those who could not attend, all presentations and videos from the event are now available on the Spring Summit page. The presentation for the NCS Permanent Staff meeting can be found on BOX

We are delighted to announce the release of the 2024 edition of the National Cardiac Societies Guide. This comprehensive resource contains all the essential details about your collaboration with the ESC and the benefits for your society and members, in an easily accessible online format. We encourage you to bookmark it on your computer for quick reference!

We also extend our sincere thanks to all National Cardiac Societies for promptly submitting their membership lists by 29 February. Your cooperation is vital in keeping the ESC community vibrant. Thank you for your continued support and involvement in advancing our shared mission in cardiology.

With our best wishes,

New registry participation

GRASP will initiate two studies in Q3 2024:

  • GRASP-HF, chaired by Prof. Chioncel and linked to ICARE-HF
  • GRASP-CCS, chaired by Prof. Capodanno

For centres participating in GRASP-HF, you may also wish to enrol for the HFA’s accreditation programme (ICARe-HF), for which GRASP-HF is a key component.

GRASP is a programme of observational, multicentre, international, prospective, longitudinal and cross-sectional studies with the aim of capturing real world evidence to assess the adherence to ESC Guidelines. Overall, 32 National Cardiac Societies, five Affiliated Cardiac Societies, and two additional countries are willing to participate in GRASP, with almost 200 sites so far. For more information, contact the Registries Team.
